Teletoon has rebroadcast the original season in Canada since 19 August 2005. A French-dubbed version of the series, titled La Côte Ouest, aired in Canada on Télétoon. With no further episodes produced or announced, the show was apparently canceled after its only season.

The Brittas Empire is a British sitcom created and originally written by Andrew Norriss and Richard Fegen. Chris Barrie plays Gordon Brittas, the well-meaning but incompetent manager of Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. The creators Andrew Norriss and Richard Fegen often combine farce with either surreal or dramatic elements in episodes. Unlike the traditional sitcom, deaths were quite common in The Brittas Empire.
