As Disneyland Paris celebrates its 30th anniversary, we delve into the heart of France's greatest dream factory. The famous Mickey Mouse, who inspired the anniversary logo, sports a new costume. Sleeping Beauty Castle has been completely renovated. In addition to the attractions and character meet-and-greets, the park offers a daytime show and another at nightfall. Enchanting gardens have also been specially designed. Behind the scenes, inventiveness has been doubled to celebrate this 30th anniversary.

The Grand Opening of Euro Disneyland

On April 11, 1992, The Grand Opening of Euro Disney aired on CBS, offering viewers a spectacular, entertainment-filled evening as well as a special “sneak preview” of the Euro Disney Theme Park and Resort. The special was simulcast live across Europe in five languages and broadcast later the same day in the United States. Each country’s customized broadcast was hosted by popular local celebrities, introducing entertainers from their own countries.

How does one live day-to-day in a place that appears to offer an unreal relationship to the world? How has Disney’s presence in the area affected the childhood and adolescence of these young people? Les enfants de Val d'Europe juxtaposes the landscapes of the Val d’Europe with the words of its inhabitants. Interviews with young adults who grew up around Val d'Europe and the Disneyland Paris amusement park serve as an augmented soundtrack for a voyage through often deserted landscapes.

While closing the park for the night, Mickey Mouse encounters legendary magician Harry Blackstone Jr. behind the counter of the magic shop. Magic and illusions fill the park. 8000: An Art Odyssey (Anssi Kasitonnin maailma) is a documentary about the Finnish Ars Fennica awarded artist Anssi 8000. Anssi does everything his own way, and preferably with his own hands. The films follows Anssi as he prepares for the biggest exhibition of his life at Kunsthalle Helsinki, films a French short film with dreams of an Oscar award and develops a skate toy with a company based in Hong Kong. It is a warm and humorous story about passion, creativity – and how sometimes, doing things the wrong way is the right way.

Senseless Things: Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire!

English pop punk band Senseless Things formed in 1986 London; they released four studio albums and achieved two UK Top 20 hit singles before splitting up in 1995. They reformed in 2017 to play several gigs including Shepherd's Bush Empire. While the audio from the night was recorded, the concert itself was never officially filmed. However, much was captured by fans on mobile phones and handheld cameras, which has now been deftly and impressively sewn together to form a seamless film. The record of that night has been lovingly interspersed with historical and never-seen-before personal footage owned by band.

Ratty: The Downfall of NYC Rats, is an observational documentary giving a voice to the intriguing yet terrifying furry rodents of New York City. Ratty uses street interviews, archival footage, and interviews with organizations such as SenesTech, Positive Pest Management, and PETA to answer the question: How are we alleviating the problem? Does the solution lie in the hands of the people, or City Hall and Sanitation? The whimsical caricature of a Brooklyn rat, played by El Gabriel Gomez, provides a lighthearted transition between interviews. Will the launch of rat birth control be the solution, or another attempt at control that will fail?
