Eva, a mysterious woman who lives in the forest, sets a field of sunflowers on fire. Eva believes she has a mission and she talks like a preacher, a sort of Joan of Arc. She sees strange blue lights in the sky. Tabataba tells the story of a small Malagasy village during the independence uprising which took place in 1947 in the south of the country.
