This is a fairy tale about a girl who just lived and was, and about a boy who just lived and was. You may recognize yourself in these stories, but all coincidences with real people are accidental.
In the 15th century, a young goatherd living alone in a mountain hut feels a dark presence in the woods.
18-year-old Maria is a dreamy outsider who lives isolated from the digital world with her quirky grandparents. Bella, egocentric and obsessed with social media fame, films Maria after an alcohol binge with bleeding wounds reminiscent of Jesus' stigmata. The video goes viral and turns Maria into an internet saint. Amidst likes, online healings, and heavenly merchandise, an unexpected and deep friendship develops. But as reports of alleged healings pile up, Maria begins to believe in her “gift” herself.
In the living room, RAMA (33), is painting the bottom of the wall which is full of TARA (6) crayon scribbles which resemble the shape of a ship with simple lines.
