The setting is the beginning of the 20th century, a time of fierce competition for building passenger ships that could cross the Atlantic. From a young age, Thomas Andrews has always dreamed of building big ships. “GUYS AND DOLLS,” one of Broadway’s most popular and cheerful musical comedies, continues to enchant audiences around the world. Premiering on Broadway in 1950 and running for an impressive 1,200 performances, this masterpiece of a musical comedy has seen countless revivals across the globe and continues to be loved by audiences to this day. The Takarazuka Revue first staged it in 1984, with Moon Troupe’s Mao Daichi and Hitomi Kuroki in the lead. It was revived in 2002 by Moon Troupe, starring Jun Shibuki and Kurara Emi, and again by Star Troupe in 2015 with Kairi Hokusho and Fu Hinami in the lead roles, all of which earned great acclaim. This beloved musical, packed with exhilarating numbers, is brought to life by Moon Troupe, led by An Hozuki and Juri Amashi, with a new script, translated lyrics, and direction for the 2025 production.

In January 2009, the Korean historical fantasy/drama The Legend, featuring Bae Yong Joon, having been turned into a Takarazuka-style musical by playwright and director Koike Shuuichirou, was performed by Flower Troupe and attracted a lot of attention. The story takes place at the time when the protagonist became the king of Gouryeo, which existed on the Korean Peninsula from the era before Christ until the 7th century. It tells of a repeating fate and agonizing love that has lived on for thousands of years. This time, it will be brought to the stage in a new version by a new Star Troupe led by Yuzuki Reon.

Set in the beginning of the 20th century in Paris — the era known as les années folles ("the roaring twenties") — a dramatic portrayal of the glory and ruin brought about by one man's overabundance of beauty and talent.

In Portuguese, SAUDADE means nostalgia, grief, or longing. Thinking wistfully of one's distant home or of loved ones far away, or yearning for a youth that can never be recaptured. Sorrow, agony, bitterness, love, beauty, radiance. Sometimes a sharp pain within one's heart. Sometimes one should aim at the light that will lead one into the future. In the outskirts of this world, surrounded by strangers, a lone man feels SAUDADE. These mindscapes blend with elements of poetic scenery, and singing and dancing to a variety of music, to display the charm of Sena Jun: the noble-mindedness of proud solitude, tender kindness, and sometimes a brief glimpse of forlorn fragility, in contrast to which her vigorous strength and dynamism overflows even more vividly.
