In August 2018 I was interviewed on my roof by Jussi Penttinen, a Finnish devotee who in recent times has been responsible for collating and uploading the subtitles that appear in many different languages on my Youtube channel. Jussi filmed his questions separately while he was standing on the Arunachala pradakshina road. Monk Beopjeong, Meet Him in The Mountains

We covered the reclusive monk Beopjeong for three years, from our first meeting on April 30, 2001 until 2003! Monk Beopjeong of ‘no possessions’. KBS reporters met him, who had long avoided TV appearances and contact with the media. One day, about 6 months later, after lingering around the camera without even turning it on, the monk said his first words. ‘Let’s support the cows’. The meeting that took place after that and the monk's words were captured on screen. The clear and fragrant words of a monk heard among the bamboo forest along with the beautiful four seasons of Bulilam Hermitage! An anti-war message delivered by a monk at Ground Zero in the United States. 'Hate only blinds the eyes.' The footage of him accompanying Monk Beopjeong for three years will be revealed on a KBS Sunday special.

Maximón: Devil or Saint

MAXIMÓN - Devil or Saint is a documentary about the controversial Maya deity, also known as San Simon or the drinking and smoking saint of Guatemala. He is a mixture of ancient Maya beliefs and Christianity. The movie concentrates on the people who surround Maximón with their strong personalities, opinions and faith. The documentary gives us a rare view into the rituals and fiestas honoring Maximón. The cult of Maximón is flourishing because he performs miracles. He is also feared and despised because he is used to cast curses that can result in death.
